The Lyrics

...as sung by jed clampett...
texas tea was found
now i'm going to...beverly hills
dreams are fulfilled
there's swimming pools and stars about
beverly hills forever

living is easy with nice dough
misunderstandings though there be
twas really hard to be...so glum
but its all worked out
i've reached the hills of beverly

texas tea was found
now i'm going to...beverly hills
dreams are fulfilled
there's swimming pools and stars about
beverly hills forever

black gold, i think, has set me free
a bubbling crude began to flow
the kinfolk said to go
move out from this poor land's blight
to where the climate's not so bad

texas tea was found
now i'm going to...beverly hills
dreams are fulfilled
there's swimming pools and stars about
beverly hills forever

always, no sometimes i can see
that this row i hoe ain't right for me
the house and grounds are keen
oh yes, but it just seems wrong
for men who have no pedigree

texas tea was found
now i'm going to...beverly hills
dreams are fulfilled
there's swimming pools and stars about
beverly hills forever

Great stuff, now I can't stop thinking about the Beatles doing TV show themes. "Eleanor Rigby" becomes "Cagney and Lacey"; "Get Back" becomes "Get Smart"; and "When I'm 64" becomes "Where's Car 54". :-)

It can't be "forever" by the way they keep razing things and building new mansions.

They should have used this for the theme - do you think this would sound OK with a nice banjo pickin' in the background.

I like

Great job, Alvin, although Beverly Hills, along with the rest of SoCal might not be forever, considering the possibility of that region falling into the ocean as a result of earthquakes, and the more likely situations of radical-Islamic terrorists crashing planes into Disneyland, movie studios and other prominent areas and wildfires consuming the region. 5s.

Ahhhhhh...Strawberry Fields meets Beverly Hills! I so love the OS and your parody. I echo Rex's comments. Yep, Jed Clampett would sing that song for sure! I can hear him now. This is such a sweet, mellow, and heartwarming tune I have ever heard while listening to OS for the first time. It blows me away! Y'all come back now, ya hear?
