The Lyrics

Okay, Spitzer's resigning, but this parody, begun the night before he resigned, is dedicated to those New York State GOP leaders crying out for his impeachment if he didn't resign. (Sound familiar?)
(We gotcha! Hurray!)

You say you want his resignation.
Well, you know,
He was caught with his pants down.
You’re screaming out with indignation,
“Well, you know,
He was caught with his pants down!”
But when you talk about impeachment,
Don’t you know that that just curls my blood, Bud.

Don’t you know it’s gonna be your turn. (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)
Don’t you know it’s gonna be your turn. (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)
Yes, someday it’s gonna be your turn. (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)

He promised us some restoration.
Well, you know…
Thought he’d clean up all the mud. (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)
But he was caught in fornication.
Well, you know.
Now you’re calling for his blood. (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)
But if we go turning him over to hearts that hate,
Instead of engaging in civilized, calm debate,

Don’t you know it’s gonna be your turn! (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)
Don’t you know it’s gonna be your turn! (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)
Yes, someday it’s gonna be your turn! (Resignation! Ah! Resignation!)

You say you’ll press your jurisdiction.
Well, you know…
How you’re eager for his head! (Let’s impeach him! Ah! Let’s impeach him!)
It feels more like crucifixion.
Well, you know,
You’d better check your minds instead. (Let’s impeach him! Ah! Let’s impeach him!)
The measure you mete out is gonna return to you.
Ask Gingrich and Foley and Haggard—
And Spitzer, too!

Don’t you know it’s gonna be your head! (Resignation! Yes! Resignation!)
Don’t you know it’s gonna be your head! (Resignation! Yes! Resignation!)
Yeah, someday it’s gonna be your head! (Resignation! Yes! Resignation!)

Your your your,
Your your your your, your your your,
Your head, your head
Your head, your head, your head, your head…

(repeat to fade)

Speaking of the Revolutions of the Beatles, Spitzer was allegedly client number 9...number 9...number 9... (Don't worry, I'm not asking ANYONE to parody that one.)

This one's even better than your Love Client #9.

Nicely done, and extra credit for fun _and_ a voice of reason. :-)

Good point: as the country goes down the tubes and war criminals occupy the White House, the media focuses on Brit, Spitz, etc.

Cowboy Spitzer, that ~uberGent~ . . . he sure could "Pay the Rent" . . . He had the "mush" of true-bred spitz, and all the dog of a can of grits!

It is appropriate to spoof Republicans for being overly zealous, but I didn't hear any Democrats defend Governor Spitzer.
