Original Song Title:

"I Feel Fine"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"They Squealed Fine"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

fans were good to see, you know
we're happy they paid fees, you know
for our shows
and when songs occurred
well, they squealed fine

so loud, they would chime, you know
it happened every time, you know
at our shows
yes, when songs occurred
well, they squealed fine

they went mad
when tunes, we would unfurl
if played bad
heck, we were never heard

yes, we barely strummed our strings, you know
and botched the words we sang, you know
at our shows
though way out of key
they still squealed fine

the decibels would climb, you know
we'd lose the beat at times, you know
at our shows
but when songs occurred
well, they squealed fine

they were glad
and screams and shrieks, they hurled
some were lads
but most were silly girls

and a constant wail, they'd fling, you know
we couldn't hear a thing, you know
at our shows
cause when songs occurred
well, they squealed fine

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !

I was too young to go to their shows, but my babysitter was 16, and she got to see the Beatles at Shea in '65. I remember she had all this Beatle stuff in her room which if she kept it would probably be worth thousands of $ now. Anyway...555--great job!

For a moment I thought this was going to be a song about the early sixties, pre - Beatles singers such as Frankie Valli. He sang "Walk Like a Man", but didn't sing like a man.

I know that you know that I would prefer fewer "you know"s, but this seemed to be a very good spoof of Beatles' audiences.

I was kind of hoping that this was going to be about Libby not getting a jail sentence... never mind :-)
