Parody Song Title:

"The Fans Implied I'm Dead"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

i'm not even leavin' this earth...that's just mad
cause i still live the only life i've had
if i had passed away
i'd tell you that myself today
but the fans...have implied...i'm dead

i got a rose on my jacket that's blacker than i need
i'm caught walkin' barefoot 'cross the street
the records point out how
folks only play them backwards now
cause the fans...have implied...i'm dead

and when i died, john was well prepared
to get by, he acquired a spare
this gent became myself some way-hay
because i lacked the life to play

but if i died i'd really hurt all my girls
yes, it woulda broke their hearts all 'round the world
you all stop lookin' for clues
i'll show you what a real life paul can do
but the fans...implied...i'm dead

This was fan-tastic! 5 jars of cranberry sauce for you ("Paul is Dead" afficionados will understand the reference).

Paul ain't dead! (though it seems like his career is). And neither is this parody! 555

One of my favorite all-time T-shirts: "Let me get this straight, Paul is dead and Elvis is alive?" Of course, this was a John song, not a Paul song -- he couldn't have written it, it wasn't his style -- but that won't keep it from a perfect rating. And the "Paul is Dead" stuff was a whole lot funnier when John was alive. And with Linda, George and Maureen (the first Mrs. Ringo) also gone now, I'm not sure it's funny at all. But the parody is.

Paul's solo career shows why the group should have stayed together. Nice job.

Merry: I think Heather would like to imagine it, and it would push the Anna Nicole fiasco off the cable news networks.
