The Lyrics

A big thanks to RockandRollFan for suggesting the title to this one :)
Well, Czechs are out, baby, now (Czechs are out, baby)
Twisted kraut (twisted kraut)
Bayern, Bayern, Bayern, Bayern, Adolf, now (puscht Bavari)
Sudaten's irked in a rout (irked in a rout)

Heils sure fix ecooooo-nomy (arbeit macht frei)
Teutonic's in da hood (das ist good)
Got annex-ation flowin', now (power's growin')
Ja! Domination's good (domination's good)

Well, Luftwaffe's raiding now (Messerschmitts, baby)
Twisted kraut (twisted kraut)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, Navy, now (U-boats 'neath wavies!)
Chancellor Adolf's about (brown shirts have clout)

You know the swastikas swirl (dissed the free world)
You sowed a frisky reich (risky reich)
Gone done and twisted knife in Poland now (twisted it in Poland)
And now they're part of the Rhine (and it's mein, all mein!)
Aaaaaaaach ! Aaaaaaaach ! Aaaaaaaach ! Aaaaaaach !

Tankies, now (Africa, baby)
Twisted kraut (twisted kraut)
It's gone, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone, baby, now, (pre-dawn baby)
Reichstag, we burnt it on out (burnt it on out)

You know resistance unfurls (tryst with the world)
V-1's go eins, zwei, drei (eins, zwei, drei)
Aryan fist, well, it is closin' now (Europe got a hosin')
All-ieds are cross-in' the lines ("Ooops! Is that the time?")

Watch out, there's Reds and Brits and Yankees 'round (shake 'em up maybe?)
In bunker, mar-ried E-va baby now ("Cyanide, baby?")
Then shot a bullet hole in crainy now (did world big favour!)
Aaaaaaaach ! Aaaaaaaach ! Aaaaaaaach ! Aaaaaaach !

Interesting, WW2 summed up in parody. However, I must get technical on you, T(real)OS was by the Isley Brothers.

M&P are definitely relying on The Beatles' cover for this one, every "AAAAACH" and call-response lyric intact. This just made my day. 555

Alot of information here.

That may be so, Steve K, but this parody reflects the Beatles' version, so don't sweat it.
alvin rhodes - May 24, 2006 - Report this comment
rollicking AND informative

Considering that the Beatles conquered Germany (clubs on the Hamburg Reeperbahn) before their homeland (and ours), I think this is a little less inappropriate than some other Nazi-themed parodies. And the fascists do lose in the end. Don't they always?

Thanks all ! Steve K, your observation above is the reason (as is my understanding of past changes) that Chucky changed the wording to read "Based on the performance by", as opposed to "Original song by", or whatever it was that it said...

I didn't realize RnRF was still around the boards. Anywoo, this is great, especially since I always disliked the general dryness of history classes. Great work Mer and Pip!

Red Ant, thank you. Just to clarify, R&RF is *not* around the boards, and that is not a concept I particularly want to introduce to here, please. Both Merry and I know him back from days gone past, and he knew we did parodies, so he gave the idea to us. Damn good one too, wish I had thought of it :)

Very funny, 5's
M T Bank - May 25, 2006 - Report this comment
Great, well paced, very funny, and should be included as a summary in all WWII history books.
mandamoo - May 26, 2006 - Report this comment
Dare I say, a sour one too...? A vivid account, cleverly put to song...and yet another OS now dubbed with a new title.....! :)

What would Ahhnold say? 5s!
Michael Pacholek - May 26, 2006 - Report this comment
Who cares what Arnold would say? Even if we COULD understand it.
Peregrin - May 26, 2006 - Report this comment
I think Johnny D must have meant the paper boy from the Flintstones :)

Great song guys! Thanks for using my title suggestion. I'm shocked my name has remained as a credit. Maybe certain people aren't as bad as I once thought. Anyway, great writing and keep them coming!

RnRF? I thought he was banned, just like me.
