here...racing away are those dears
trembling with fright if i lift up my hand
big old mean man
i've got to respond with care

there...running like mad, i declare
white thighs a-streaking
how fast they can be
sometimes, they're sneaking
but quickly, they'll haul, when scared

they're running everywhere
and a few are hiding
'neath the cushions in the chair
but i love them, so i won't be sitting there

going to raise many hares
if not conceiving, at least they will try
they're never shy
i know i'll have pets to spare
