Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Don't you hate it when radios and TV play the same song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over etc etc etc...
Overplayed,
All these people like this song replayed
Now it looks like the good songs have strayed
Now I believe it's overplayed

Suddenly
It's not half the song it claims to be
There's a chance of release overseas
It's overplayed, why can't they see?

Why it
Had to blow, I don't know, but still they play
Now they
Sing along, so strongly overplayed

Yesterday
This was such a classy song to play
Now I wish that it would go away
How I believe it's overstayed

Why they
Stoop so low, I don't know, it's disarray
I said
"Change That Song!", but they've put it on replay

Overplayed
And the replay system's underway
Now the streets sound like a cabaret
How I believe it's overplayed

(Everyone hums along to the rest of the tune)

This subject for one of the most used originals on Amiright.. coincidence? I think not! :-)

I was actually looking through a list of Beatles songs, and was originally going to do a parody of 'Help!', but it didn't take off. So with the subject of my last parody in mind (James Blunt's 'Your Beautiful' - excessively overplayed) I chose to parody 'Yesterday' instead. Shame - I thought with me chosing to parody a Beatles' classic, this parody would gather more interest : (

Good 'un that everyone can relate to, but a bit repetitive (coincidence? ;-) ) 5-4-5

Great parody... yo

But I'd say it's more "overparodied"
