The Lyrics

Brokeback Mountain, Scene 5: a musical interlude.
I think my colon's been rent,
I ripped it today, yeah!
The ranch hand sharin' my tent,
Turns out that he's gay!

He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
But he's no queer!

He says that livin' with sheep
Was bringin' him down, yeah!
Now he won't let me get sleep,
He likes to pork round!

He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
But he's no queer!

I don't know why he's hidin', so shy--
The closet stinks, right?
He oughta do, like, five sheep!
Before he gets to playin' with guys,
The closet stinks, right?
He oughta screw, like, five sheep!

I think my colon's been rent,
I ripped it today, yeah!
The ranch hand sharin' my tent,
Turns out that he's gay, yeah!

He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
But he's no queer!

I don't know why he's hidin', so shy--
The closet stinks, right?
He oughta do, like, five sheep!
Before he gets to playin' with guys,
The closet stinks, right?
He oughta screw, like, five sheep!

He says that livin' with sheep
Was bringin' him down, yeah!
Now he won't let me get sleep,
He likes to pork round! Aaagh!

He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
He's gotta stick it to guys,
But he's no queer!

My baby's no queer!
My baby's no queer!
My baby's no queer!

Well, it doesn't make this a bad parody, sweetheart.

"Buckaroo" comes from Spanish "vaquero" ("cowboy") and "v" in Spanish is pronounced "v," thus, "back arrow." 5s

JD: Not so baaaaad yourself (sheepishly).
MP: Yeah, but I guess Brokeback Mountain turned into a Tragical Blistery Tour.
ar: alvin rhodes, take me home..........
JB: As always, the most literate of literati. Zing! "Lariat" comes from "la riata" which means "Larry wants to make out with you."

Great stuff Bob. Iwould have like to seen more variation in the lines but still funny enough for triple nickels.

Thanks, Red, I appreciate the high expectations. Sometimes I like to follow the pattern of the original, especially in the case of a classic tune like this.

Hate to tell ya this, JAB, but "vaquero" refers to cowboys, a term invented by the Spaniards in their colonial days in present-day western U.S., Mexico, and South America. Has nothing to do with arrows. But that doesn't mean the Spaniards were immune to such urges...
