"I'm A Lawyer"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Of all the cases I've won or I've lost
I always make sure to pass on the cost
My clients pay me a million, my friend
'Cause win or lose, I'll be rich in the end

I'm a lawyer
And my firm treats me like royalty
I'm a lawyer
'Cause I bill for service hourly

If you are bankrupt I don't want to know
But if you're rich, in court I'll run the show
Getting divorced? I'll take most of the pie
And I'll take half your estate when you die

I'm a lawyer
And my firm treats me like royalty
I'm a lawyer
'Cause I bill for service hourly

What have you done to deserve such a fate?
You slipped on ice? Let us set a court date
But know it's you who is destined to fall
Even if you win, I'm getting it all

I'm a lawyer
And my firm treats me like royalty
I'm a lawyer
'Cause I bill for service hourly

On appeal, I must reduce the damages to 4s. I don't think you've completely proven your case, but I'm still going to be civil toward it.

Phil--thanks, but I'm sorry, that smiley's copyrighted. Alvin--thank you, judge rhodes! John--thanks. Michael--what?!? 4's? You'll be hearing from my people! ;-)

This reminds me of a class action settlement notice I once received. The members of the class got something like a $10 discount coupon, the three guys who filed the suit got a few thousand dollars, and the lawyers got close to a million. Nice work.
