I thought guns were banned in California.
Patrick, why do people assume that? I can go to multiple gun stores loaded with .40 Cal auto-pistols, combat shotguns, assault type sporters in 5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm, even 7.62x57mm or 7.92x57mm!!! Read: AR-15 and clones, AK-47s, Nagants, Mauser Ks! And all the weird .22LR weapons like the STG-44, MP-5 clone, and the like. It depends on the dealer and their type of license but HKs, Glocks, SIGs, Berettas, Taurus, Kahr, Ruger, Colt, Smith & Wesson, etc.. are there plus all manner of wheel guns, hunting rifles, and clone .308s for sniping! All ammo except .50 Cal readily available. Am pissed that Walther only available as P-22 or G-22. The guns are overpriced too except for used sales. And we have almost monthly gun show sales in Sacramento at Cal Expo. Even Big 5 sells some modern sporters like the Beretta AR-160 plus the .22LRs and vintage Nagants and Mauser rifles (former is $189 and latter from $300-400). Modern sporters are anywhere from $550-1100 depending on model and accessories. We also have modernized M-1s and M-14s.
