| Original Song Title: | "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" |
| Original Performer: | Tammy Wynette |
| Parody Song Title: | "My P-A-R-O-D-Y (English version)" |
| Parody Written by: | Susanna Viljanen |
Okay, Red Ant requested me - here is the same in English. I tried to translate the lyrics as literally as I could. Forgive me the errors - neither English nor German is my first language. (You may still evaluate the original German, though, if you like.)
Our little world here in Am I Right
- it is quite strange, you see
We scribble new lyrics for the songs we love
it is kind of poetry
Songs like T-N-T or Yesterday
or Bohemian Rhapsody
Pure five-five-five is the goal we've set
on critique of the parody.
Now - my P-A-R-O-D-Y is today no American Pie;
My S-O-N-G is ready for critique - it is just another try
It is H-E-L-L sometimes see triple one - I want to cry
And yet tomorrow will perhaps see 'nother P-A-R-O-D-Y
Now see me write, I think this song
is quite hard to parodize
English ain't my first language and some rhymes
are awkward to harmonize
Those words like O-C-E-A-N - can be quite hard to match
yet still I try to write these songs
and perhaps some thoughts to catch

Good job...reads well...fives
I L-I-K-E it.
Actually I didn't request the translation. I DKTOS and DKTPL on the other. I got the lyrics downloaded and am able to give you a 555 on this. How many languages do you speak? I know you know some German, Latin, English and your native language. Nevermind, I feel inadequate enough in English alone without you tellling me you are fluent in more than 4 languages. :)
Yup, it was Melanie who requested the English version. I tried to be as true to my German lyrics as I could
I speak Finnish (native), Swedish (second home language), English, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. Most Finns speak three or four languages; as a small nation member you simply have to, since foreigners certainly won't go studying Finnish.

No Arabic or Klingon? 7 languages vs 1. Why not post 7 parodies of the same song but in 7 different languages on the same day. THAT would be a record. I would just have to copy and paste the following 6 times ( I should know the English one ). " Sorry, DKTPL. ". :)
