my mom's request, a parody about the forthcoming travesty known as "The Conners," which my family & I will not even waste half a second on! ABC claims a "racist" tweet was behind Roseanne Barr's firing, but to look at Valerie Jarrett, could you honestly blame Rosie for believing the "bleep" was white? I certainly never would've known she was black and feel like what everybody suspected with the "Last Man Standing" cancellation, ABC has confirmed with the re-tooling of a 30-year-old legend of a show! fortunately, LMS is back on Fox (as ABC weeps) but it is still a horrible, sickening situation for Roseanne Barr! they still wanted their monster-ratings, but had to get rid of the "Toxic Trumpeteer!" I for one, wish nothing but the worst for this "show" and ABC in general! and of course, that loving, tolerant, liberal left refuses any semblance of forgiveness, to an apoligy that, quite honestly, Roseanne should've never had to make in the first place! okay, rant over. now, onto the parody!

Couldn't agree with you more. A "Roseanne"-themed show without Roseanne is not going to fly with a lot of us, including me. ABC has made a lot of blunders (hmmm, I wonder if ABC could stand for Always Blunders Coming?) and this non-series is just another one of them. Great work, as always, from one Jon to another!
Jonathan-- A.B.C.=Anything But Class. :). This exact thing happened before when NBC kicked Valerie Harper off of her own self-named sitcom "Valerie's Family" and changed it to "The Hogan Family." Nowhere near the same controversial reasons or setback, but certainly still the same (likely) tepid result.
^ thanks guys, some people were saying ABC stood for "anything but conservative" after the "Last Man Standing" cancellation. they had a chance to at least pretend to be tolerant and they blew it with their treatment of Roseanne!
Guess what, comedians who become TV stars often say stupid things that will offend others. Not a surprise. I never really cared for the original show or Barr personally, but agree it was chickensht to cancel the return. Network just didn't want to deal with the flack, but based on past history it was kind of moronic to expect Barr to be quiet, much less subtle or discreet. I'm sure her comment delighted much of the Trump crowd, but others were sure to find it tasteless and offensive, I won't watch "Conners", but wouldn't have watched the remade original either. Good work, gave you a 5-3-4.
