As I recall, Eisenhower said there was so little the President could do, he would just spend his time playing golf. Kennedy said it was surprising how he would make a decision or give an order and watch as nothing got done.
Yes, thanks to Donald Trump, every child in America can aspire to be President someday because, as he has proven, it really doesn't involve much work. Except for the TelePrompTer reading part, because you have to, you know, know how to read and stuff.
Eisenhower talked that way, but he got all kinds of things done behind the scenes while making everyone think he was just a somewhat absentminded kindly old man; sort of like what Reagan would do later. Trump appears to be following their examples, except without the "somewhat absentminded kindly old man" part.
