Parody Song Title:

"Pine Needles"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Hitler's bathing habits...
Pine needles
Used in soap, antibacterial touch
Natural as such
Specially for the Führer
The only thing he would bathe in
Made just for him

Most regular soaps he did fear
Colognes he never got near
Hated Eva's lipstick when he kissed her
Makeup frowned upon

He used pine needles
Safe and smelled so good
Hitler approved

When in the bath, no one could get near
His valet would provide all hygiene gear
Double blade safety razor
Melchior & Company, ordered from

Hitler used pine needles
In the soap he really loved
Fresh and bold

On pine was sold
Never got old
Fresh and bold
His valet was told
Only that soap
No perfumed soap to own

Ach! I never tire of hearing many cheerful facts about mein Führer! But I'm sure he bathed in Southern Comfort eggnog. And when Eva's lips got close to his, he would shout, "No tongue!"

Pine needle soap can still be bought today or made. It's on the list of survival items. Pine needles can be used in many unique ways including making tea by boiling the needles.

You triggered a Goldfinger parody that's been kicking around in my head since I first saw the movie at the age of 3 .. or was it 5 .. or 8, I cant remember anymore. But anyhow, look for it on Monday

"Goldfinger" came out September 17, 1964. I was 6 weeks old! "Live and Let Die" was my first Bond film in 1973.

I was a little older than you Rob when the movie came out, but still too young to understand the whole Pussy Galore reference .. or why everybody laughed when Pussy said "I'm a damn good pilot, Period" or when Goldfinger says "Wont you entertain Mr Bond, Pussy?"
