The Lyrics

I enjoyed my "Fifteen Minutes of Fame" a couple weeks ago when Leough posted his St Paddy's Day tribute to "Pat McWilliams Fans". Now comes the moment when I must let down my fans with a mediocre parody of an overworked song. Owl Head comes from the emblem on the grips of handguns manufactured by The Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. They were decent quality, and cost a lot less than a Colt or Smith and Wesson. Their heyday was the 1880's to around 1935. Millions of them were manufactured, and thousands are still in service. Some gun collectors refer to any old revolver of the era as an "Owl Head".
Old top break Owl Head gun
Small thirty-two
I shoot it for fun
And my grandpa did, too

Can't believe
How much bullets cost
Locked it up
So it won't be lost

I've got an Owl Head gun
For now, it's mine, yeah!

Other things I need
Want this? Are you buyin'

Oh! I'd sell it!
I'd sell it!
I'd sell it to you now!

I don't care who may have owned it
It's yours, right now!

I sold my Owl Head gun
And now it's yours, yours, yours

Oh, it's yours!

You're giving Arndt a run for his money on the race to the bottom.

This may be the worst thing I have ever posted here, though there was this Christmas song a couple years ago that a commenter said "sounded like a sow giving birth to piglets". Anywhere I go from here has to be up.

Iver Johnson revolvers were used in the killings of President McKinley and also Senator Robert Kennedy. After Iver (Norwegian born) died, the company operated under his sons making firearms, bicycles, and motorcycles. Many of the latter model firearms were known as Iverson's. No rating on song, sorry.
