Parody Song Title:

"Christened A Knight Today"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

let me tell ya 'bout my case
up there at the queenie's place
she, upon me, gave her grace
christened a knight today
gave my little head a rub
then she said "i do thee dub"
then we went and hit the pub
christened a knight today

i'm christened...christened
everybody thinks that's great
i'm christened...christened
christened a knight today

i was in my finest clothes
started kneelin' way down low, bub
oh, how my reputation's grown
christened a knight today
my shoulders got a little whack
no credentials that i lack
i guess you'd say i have the knack
christened a knight today

i'm christened...christened
everybody thinks that's great
i'm christened...christened
christened a knight today

walk up...kneel back...sword up...tap tap
i'm woozy...i'm high...big hit !
i'm christened a knight today

its an honor oh so keen
ritzy as i've ever seen
sent a thank you to the queen
christened a knight today
oh man, i got a right to crow
i deserve it, doncha know
i feel just like a dynamo
christened a knight today

i'm christened...christened
everybody thinks that's great
i'm christened...christened
christened a knight today

walk up...kneel back...sword up...tap tap
i'm woozy...i'm high...big hit !
i'm christened a knight today

"then we went and hit the pub" -- great line and a very fun read; well done. And I guess you haven't lost your knack for the funniest song titles either.

Sadly, I've only heard the Rod Stewart version of the OS, but it still paces to it.

I was going to go with Sir Pun-a-lot, but John Barry's title works, too.

I echo McKludge, and this was a great job. However, I doubt that the British Royal Family would like this parody, especially if Queen Elizabeth were to be called "queenie". 5s.

Oh, Sir Alvin, I adore the powerful voice of SAM COOKe; one of my favorites is a little known song, entitled "Change Gonna' Come " . Here in norCAL the oldies stations have suddenly been playing it again? ?
