Saw a Messerschmitt bubble top at a car show years ago. Entered and exited just like a fighter plane. Europe was full of micro cars in those days due to high taxes and fuel shortages.
Messerschmitt used actual leftover aircraft parts in both the cars and sewing machines. They also built prefabricated houses for Allied troops and workers.
"Rose, there's a Messerschmitt in the kitchen. Clean it up!"
