The Lyrics

As the school year fast approaches, I revised the old parody not only to be more relevant, but I want it to seem like it's from the students' POV (not limiting to any grade or college). As I said in the old parody, most students dislike school and I omitted the "Oh, yeah" cadenza. I placed it in the 60's category because the now deceased Ray wrote the original sometime in the decade.
(instrumental intro, with students moaning)

Oh, it's learnin' time again, we can't believe it,
We can see the grim teacher's look in their eyes,
We can tell by the way you told us students (all schools),
That it won't be long before it's learnin' time.

Now they say that learnin' makes the school grow fonder (fonder),
And those grades were only rain to make us grow,
Well my life for them could never grow no stronger (stronger),
If we lived to be a thousand years old (awwww man)!

Man, It's learnin' time again, on a September,
And us students were already in the pink,
We can tell by the way you told us students (all schools),
That we always say that our school really stink.

Now you say you've found some friends that you know better (uh-oh),
That's the way that what has summer really left,
And as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow (no way),
Learnin' time starts when we got a big fat "F."

Gosh, it's learnin' time again, and what we told you,
We don't want to be us bums, or at the clink,
What the truant officer said it's important (that's right),
School is non-optional than you really think,

Now it isn't long before it's learning time.
