The Lyrics

After hearing of Richard Wright's untimely death, I knew it was time for me to get back into the parody game and honor the keys of Pink Floyd. RIP Rick. DKTOS?
Which one's Pink?
This is making me sink
And I'm happy to welcome you to the machine
And I'm building a wall
And I'm wond'rin' how tall be
You'll learn to fly with me?
And run like hell, baby

Wish you were here
Cigars in the air
Don't you feel comfortably numb?
Playing the games that are free games for May
See Emily playing for thousands and thousands and ....

Gravy Train, are you a rider
Get your high hopes higher, higher
Set controls for heart of sun
We'll cry 'Goodbye blue sky, good-bye.'

Mourning Richard Wright, this wall's too high
Mourning Richard Wright, let's learn to fly
Mourning Richard Wright, pink pigs do fly

The band reunited two thousand and five
I hope you got standing applause
For this wall's too high, you will need to tear down
Go to dark side, and we'll sing "Breathe in... [the air]"

Money, begging, get away
Get good job with more pay, okay
I have become so comfy-numb
The lunatic is in my brain

Mourning Richard Wright, money go 'way
Mourning Richard Wright, there's no dark side
Mourning Richard Wright, great gig in sky

And all we've got to say to you is good-bye
You played your keys, better run like hell, cruel world, wall's too high
Learning to fly, it's good-bye
Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, good-bye...

Sweet stuff, Chris. I too am in mourning. I would have included more references to songs that he wrote or sang, but I love the fact that you took one of the more obscure tunes in the Floyd catalog to do this.
