The Lyrics

A nod to A.A. Milne, in a small way to make up for the bastardization that Disney is releasing to the theaters called "Christopher Robin." Hear the original song for this One Week Notice challenge at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahn_fVEF9e8 (What is the One Week Notice challenge? See the Amiright Events on the home page!)
There was a bear in wooden land
Taste of honey was in demand
With his balloon, soar like an eagle
Play a cloud's what he tried to pull
"Oh bother!"--what's in store?

Bear, why are you up in the air
Right near the tree branches there--
Coasting?
"Distract these bees from buzzy lives
And grab a snack or two from their hives"

So up he goes, see Pooh refuse
To use smart logic--I think he'll lose
That "silly old bear" blighter comes up
The bugs will not take that lie
Hovering and buzzing
The bees began their stinging
On his head!

(buzzz--Ow!...buzzz--Ow!...buzzz--Ow!...buzz--Ow! ...)

(ahhhhhhhh!!!)
Poor Pooh is near impending doom
The bees have busted his balloon
As he flurries, they all laugh on
Crash in puddle, mud in eye!
"Oh bother!"--that's the score
He's so sore!

When I was thinking up possible replacements for “O mother” “O bother” occurred to me too. I love Disney and cartoons and this parody! 555 pots of honey for you!

Yes, looks like we both analyzed the original in similar ways, yet still came up with totally different stories for children with our rewrites of it. :-)

Pooh was last seen at the golf course in Burbank.

Winderful.

Also, it strikes me late, we both choose to create longer non-pacing titles for our stories here.

@Matthias: That's true - and with American Wrestling being a sort of fairytale for adults we can include that too as a similarity from yours.

Different strokes, I guess. I'm eagerly looking forward to Christopher Robin. Awesome parody, though.
