 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Gastronomy Mexicana"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Based on the live "Ummagumma" version of Pink Floyd's classic early space freakout.
Time to eat ground beef, and crumbly cheese
Uno taco y ensalada
Chow 'em down, eat them now
At the fancy taco shop downtown
Que yo ahora comen?
Flautas y nachos y dos tostada
Salsa verde, muy caliente!
(Ay yi, yi yi, ay, yi ,yi yi...)

Arroz y frijoles, what a scene
What made you think that you were all through?
Chow' em down, eat them now
At the fancy taco shop downtown
Cual es su bebida?
Tecate, horchata o tequila?
Salsa verde, muy caliente!
(Ay, yi, yi, yi, Ay, yi yi, yi, yi...)

Dessert on tap
Pick a, pick a, pick a flan--
Wow! Wow!
Do I dare to shove more in there?
(uhhh, uhhh, uhhh, uhhh, uhhh....)

Time to leave the scene and walk around
My stomach's full, it's big and (round)
Time to leave the scene and walk around
I must have gained near 20 pounds!

(G) Icenay Objay, Rimorfee-agay. (romfay atwhay Iyay ouldcay elltay.) I particularly liked the part about going to a taco joint and ordering tequila, salsa and squid and the dirty part about the Star Trek communications officer. ;) (Wha???)

Salsa verda is a green salsa sauce; flautas, I believe, are rolled flatbread with meat or cheese filling..

I DKTOS and put off voting too long to download it, but I'll ditto Kristof about it being brave to try Spanish, especially if you don't speak it. But bravery is risky, and as Juan said, there are some mistakes. What stands out the most just be reading it is the character in this story was able to put down so much food - and keep it down - especially with the tequila.

(ABC) DKTOS, but hey, it's about tocos what's not to love. I don't know a lick of spanish, but I was able to pick on nachos, tostada, taquilla, you know the important words. Despite all that, good song.

Brilliant take on a 60's classic! This would have made Syd Barrett eat Mexican food
