I'll try to sing out clear
Although the words are kinda hokey
Just have another beer

Regrets, I have a few
Each time I sing for other people
I botch a line or two
Or miss a cue - it's kinda feeble
But still I carry through
And hope my pace is not too pokey
As I try once again at karaoke

In other times, at other shows
I tried to sing like Axl Rose
I didn't think it would be hard
My vocal chords, they still are scarred
That's how I know how much I blow at karaoke

But I just have to sing
Though some have said I should be silent
And so I do my thing
And hope that you will not get violent
I may stray out of key
But you can see that it won't slow me
'Cause I am really hooked on karaoke

And now we have reached the final verse
So tell yourself it could be worse
I could have picked a longer song
That just goes on and on and on
So it's goodbye 'til my next try at karaoke
