This parody is NOT against Gay people and alternative lifestyles, but the ridiculous petition submitted to Sesame Street to have Bert and Ernie have a Gay Marriage on TV! The Workshop has repeatedly stated that hand-puppets have NO SEXUAL ORIENTATION!!! Common sense really. Even on the show, they always had SEPARATE BEDS! They were room mates only. Having originated in 1969, I find it offensive that the Gay agenda now includes re-writing Sesame Street history. I grew-up with Bert & Ernie and they were always friends. To teach little kids alternative lifestyles is wrong. Human sexuality is usually part of HS education, preparing teens for adulthood and parenting. Little kids do not need to learn that material until they reach a more mature level. Next thing you know Big Bird is Gay b/c he is colorful and flamboyant. Maybe the Count who lives in a dungeon is into BDSM!!! Cookie Monster has a fetish with cookies! And so on...

The majority of gay people have more pressing issues than Bert and Ernie. The ACTIVISTS of the world, be whatever group they represent, are pushing for a complete moral collapse of all societies. Absolutely anything goes. Forget children actually having a childhood. Screw innocence. Teach the little kiddies from pre-school on, all the visceral aspects of adulthood. Hopefully with graphic video!

I agree the notion that Bert and Ernie are a gay couple is crazy. Everybody knows the only gay couple on Sesame Street are Oscar and Cookie Monster.

I agree completely - why do Bert and Ernie have to be ANYTHING, just because they happen to live together? What does that say about the gazillions of flatmates around the globe, of any gender combination? Jeez.... 555 for a spot-on parody!

Thanks for the comments. I grew-up with Bert & Ernie and I will always remember their antics. But there was always that picture on the wall of them as best friends forever long before BFF became an Internet/texting term. If they are Gay b/c they are roomies- then what does that make the Three Stooges- a Gay threesome??? C'mon folks, get real.

Great job... I always thought Bert & Ernie were adopted brothers or fraternal twins who were also roommates, not a gay couple. I had to explain to my 6-year-old kid cousin recently that Bert and Ernie are brothers, not a gay couple, and she understood perfectly, since a friend of the family has adopted kids of different races/colors... 5s.
