The Lyrics

Even while they take the
measurements to fix their noses
If they had the time they'd try
to cure their halitosis

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay! (4x)

Because I had to hear critique
when I was just a girl
My mother said that I was fat
and told me I should hurl
But then I thought that if I did
I'd end up just as she
Addicted firm to collagen
and plastic surgery. Oh!

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay! (4x)

My mother went around the world
and everywhere she'd go
She'd look for anti-aging fads
while spending all her dough
When Dukes and maharajas would
correctly guess her age
Her face would flush a crimson red
and convolute with rage

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay! (4x)

So when the wrinkles show up deep
there's no need for dismay
Accept the fact you're getting old
and headed for decay
It's better to age gracefully
and live a fuller life...

Than caving in to vanity
and welcoming the knife!

"end up just as she" warmed my grammar heart... Folks like to see variations on each chorus in the "Supercal" genre, but as you seem to be new, 555 for valid sentiments well said.

Thanks, Tommy.

As a 47 year old who is hoping to continue 'aging gracefully' I liked the sentiment! :-)

Well said

Loved that last verse, especially. As the poem goes, I shall grow old disgracefully :-)

A good message cleverly delivered, and I agree with TT about the "end up just as she."
