The Lyrics

This one's for you...LCC
There's a dear lady who's known as El Cee Cee
Long a fond legend here on AmIright
Each day us parodists are hopin' we see
Her clever bylines and comments so bright

She keyboards witty, her mood's always merry
Shares short momentos that cast a cute spell
Hails from the Golden State, tart as a cherry
Shines like a rainbow, our New Entries gal

Ref 'rences made..to her friend, Cowboy Dave
Tossed like a wind winging dove
Man, dashing, daring
Not much more she's sharing
Unsure if he's current,
Or someone once loved..

Keeps the myst'ry..

As is her right and it's right that she does it
So cool are ladies who show such a trait
Might lose all the charm if we knew just what was it
El Cee Cee keep Cowboy Dave 'neath your plate..

Tags on a nickname to writers she judges
Calling John Barry, "Sir Sweaty" is one
I'm known as "Duke of Edge"..with other nudges
Also, "L Air de Farce"..Frenchy and fun

Reviewing info from comments gone by
She tells us that Cowboy Dave
Worked as a stuntman,
A Hollywood stuntman
Such were a couple of tidbits she gave

But not too much more

And so it goes with our dear friend, El Cee Cee
Seeds planted make curiosity grow

Let just suppose and compose her life story..
She and her cowboy friend, once shared a dream
Flipped by are years, since she was his young maiden
Theirs was a strong love, bright as a sunbeam

He saddled up and in Westerns, did ride
Prob'lly in classics, we've seen
He was so handsome, and she a young beauty
They shared precious moments,
When nights were serene..

Dave was dashing and..

He stole the heart and soul of our El Cee Cee
High as the sky, they would feel their love grow
Perhaps she also worked in the industry
And her ancest'ry could be Mexico

Maybe they married, or just lived as lovers
In a small cottage, somewhere by the shore
Heard big waves crashin' at moments of passion
Every night stronger than each nite before..

Then something changed in the way he would feel
And Dave would stray from her side
She'd feel her happiness slide from the saddle
Waves that came crashin' grew calm in the tide

Years passed, lonely..

But El Cee was strong, and would rise from the fallen
Buried in work, all her heartaches repressed
Kept her chin up, spent time shoppin' and Mall-in'
Held on to mem'ry and let go the rest..

And then while surfing or some friend's suggestion
She found our website and logged on one day
We"ve won her sassy tease and precious comments
Welcome to Amiright, Cee Cee please stay..

And Cee Cee will always love Dave...in her own special way

A touching story I can visualize. We need more of these here. Very well written and fits the romantic feel of the original.

What would Am I Right be without her? She deserves a tribute and you did her justice.

What a great narrative and heart warming tribute. Poetic, even. My fave of the day, easily.

This is the kind of parody that make the site worth visiting. I love LCC's comments; most are far superior to my parodies that elicit her/his comments. Great job!! And as always, thanks, LCC!

Thanks, WarrenB, and John...It's good to see and know others appreciate her clever and witty comments and salsa-tease style

Nice job here, AFW... LCC is lovable and a nice addition to the site, I've never gotten a comment from her on my parodies, but then again, I've made myself scarce here due to real life intervening. She has thought I'm a dude in the past (nothing masculine about me...), but she is forgiven. Great tribute and quality work as always... 5s.
