Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

colored folks, around the world
are you ready to get chased and beat ?
all my klan will be out tonight
we're dancin' in our sheets

we'll be dancing in atlanta
down in birmingham
maybe in YOUR city

all we need is hatred
pure hatred
they'll be mayhem everywhere
they'll be lynchin', slayin' and bullwhip flayin'
we're dancin' in our sheets

oh, a pointy hat is what we wear
then we put some eye holes there
so, come on, every guy...take a turn
build a cross and watch ot burn
we'll be dancin'
dancin' in our sheets

this is an invitation...to save the nation
a chance to create some heat
they'll be gaspin' and stingin'...their heads a-ringin'
we're dancin' in our sheets

in augusta GA
down in selma, we're seen
and don't forget about savannah

all we need is hatred
pure hatred
they'll be mayhem everywhere
they'll be lynchin', slayin' and bullwhip flayin'
we're dancin' in our sheets

Well done Al; funny stuff. "Are you ready to get chased and beat"--ha ha ha

Alvin - Well done. This is a hard subject to get me to laugh at but you did it! Say, I was listening to the "Astral Weeks" album last night. If Bush gets beat in November maybe I can do something with "Madam George" from that album (even though it is 9 1/2 minutes long). Maybe "Say Hello to Saddam, George" or something like that. It would probably take a week or two to write but I'd be in the mood if "W" gets bounced.

thank you claude and paul....i was unsure to even send this one in for obvious reasons....paul, i'd love to see a "madame george" parody....

Alvin - well, jeez - I know at least ONE other person will read it now, so maybe I'll start working on it now (I'm optimistic about unseating "W" in November). It's not like I've got any other really hot parody ideas at the moment anyway...

Ehhh...there's bad taste and then there's Bad Taste, though I know you are being ironic. This one crossed my line, though I know others disagree. I wil abstain a vote on this one Al.
