The Lyrics

Props to Lifeliver for beating us to the OS, with his excellent parody yesterday.

Lyrics sort of reminiscent of a Japanese Mr Dylan-san! I think the third line in the following parody may have given America the impetus for that strange line in "A Horse With No Name"...

Original song on YouTube R.I.P., Mr Sakamoto

Oh at a movie he did; I outta call home
Not even now – corr! Boring, my he horny!
C’mon eat there soon; hot in the heat
She poured a pot of tea on Yuri

Blue ray a moola he did; I’d a cold
Me cheat and die, or she holds cards all happy
C’mon eat there soon; nuts in the heat
He told me poor Gina yodel

She a was at war; cumin more; who were he?
She a was at war, so the norm; hooray me

Ooh at a movie he did; I outta call home
Not even now – corr! Boring, my he horny!
Nah, key dock cannot, hardware could
She poured a pot of tea on Yuri

C’mon eat there soon; I keen on he
He told me poor Gina yodel

Can a she be won? For she know cannony
Can a she be won? Took it Mork on her knee

Ooh, at a movie, he did; I’d a cold
Not even now, comb a ray, my he horny!
Nah, key dock cannot, hardware could
He told me poor Gina yodel

She poured a pot of tea on Yuri...

Hmm. Some clever phonetic matching, esp. 'poor Gina yodel', 'poured a pot of tea on Yuri', 'I keen on he', 'comb a ray, my he horny'.

But I couldn't pick up what movie you were referring to (if any), who 'he' is, or who Gina and Yuri are, so I'm afraid it didn't make much sense to me.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm familiar with Japanese and still found it very difficult to make this work. So yoku gambarimash'ta - full marks for trying - oh, and thanks for the shout.

I meant to add into the notes - it is purely a nonsense parody. Simply put, it is an amalgamation of what we both 'hear' with English 'ears'. No movie is being referred to, except for the fact that one of the words in the opening line sounds like 'movie. Same goes for Gina and Yuri, they are fictional. Everything is!
