The Lyrics

I added a syllable to the title and lyrics, but it doesn't really affect anything. I don't leave footnotes for the weapons and terms I use, but will list them line-by-line below for those that don't know what they are.
Fockes und Messers,
Und Stukas tank killin‘,
U-boats mit schnorkels
Sunk tons by the millions
Ammo, no shortages
MGs firing,
These are a few of Hitler’s favorite things

Rocket fire “Moanies“,
Brits afraid of “Doodles”,
Heinkels and “Blitz” hell
And spherical “Kugels“,
Wild jets that fly
With missiles on their wings,
These are a few of Hitler’s favorite things

Girls in uniforms with red
Nazi sashes, Gauleiters that
remind us that we are all fascists,
Columns of Tigers firing,
conquering
These are a few of Hitler’s favorite things

When we lose fights,
Allies bombing,
When the fronts close in
Hitler simply remembers his favorite things,
So he doesn’t feel shut-in…
Fockes und Messers (Fw-190s and Me Bf 109s), Stukas tank killin' (Ju-87G dive-bombers with BK 3.7s), U-boats (German subs). schnorkel (sub breathing tube captured in the Netherlands and improved upon), MGs (machine guns MG-34 and 42), "Moanies" (Nebelwerfer rocket launchers nicknamed Moaning Minnies by the Allies), "Doodles" (V-1 flying bomb nicknamed Doodlebugs by British), Heinkels (He-111 bombers), "Blitz" (German night bombing campaign targeting London), "Kugels" (Kugelwaffen spherical Foo Fighters that plagued the 415th NFS), Wild jets that fly (Me-262 and He-162), with missiles on their wings (55mm R4M and experimental X-4s), Girls in uniform (BDM), Gauleiter (Nazi district leader), Tigers (tanks models I and II), shut-in (the Fuhrer bunker in Berlin)

It wasn't just the war that was giving him his jollies. During his leisure time it was blonds, chocolates and operettas.

Lethal. Your weapons knowledge is amazing. Strange line breaks in 3rd stanza. Also, if you run through it twice, you get that feeling of images piled on top of each other ad nauseam, which adds to the impact, I think. Just sayin'

Gee Susannah, I didn't know German was so close to English in vocabulary and structure. But what does "funf-funf-funf" mean -- that the song was lots of fun?
