I was amazed at the number of parodies to this song, and wondered if I could write one of my own. It took awhile, but I finally managed this ode to the highway -- which I'll dedicate to all valiant Road Warriors... and to native East Texans everywhere!

I should probably have said at the start that I am indeed from Texas, and Hwy 59 IS very boring... but those are the only parts of the song that are true. The rhyme of the OS with "Nacogdoches" was too good to pass up. Besides, I worked a long time to learn how to spell it! ;)
