I'm an early riser first warm day I see
After breakfast.
I'll hop in my old car
Hook up to the boat,
Out for Muskie,
To fish on the lake

Cast away
With the bait I bought
At "Bill's Shop" yesterday
Here on the water, I'll chill out
And drift..
Soak sunbeams that flash
Fish for Muskie
The one I saw splash

You might think that I'm lazy as heck
'Cause back home there are things I could do
But, to get away from my sweet bitter half
One day, is heaven, it's true...

All alone,
'Cept two cheerful meadowlarks,
Offshore they've flown..
No place closer to paradise I've known
