The Lyrics

Whether it's true or not, sometimes radio talk show hosts will stop a conversation by saying, "I'm out of time". This is true on many occasions, such as "hard breaks"--whatever those are. and we know that radio stations generally have to pause for station identification and the like. This is an original parody and is NOT a copy of a similarly titled parody. Besides, talk show hosts will sometimes rattle our cages--turnabout is fair play, no?
There’s something on the radio
It’s the talk show forum, don’t you know!
But some-times the host just has to close,
And use the line, “I’m out of time!”

There are some topics they pursue
Sometimes, the old things, sometimes new
And sure, they’ll play the fool for you
But watch the sign, “I’m out of time!”

It matters not, male or female
The host, with stories to regale
But oft, we hear this, without fail,
“I saw the sign, I’m out of time”

An easy dodge, they can employ
When callers, the host just might annoy
To end the talks without alloy,
This quote seems fine, “I’m out of time!”

The sad truth is, it’s sometimes real
They have to stop, part of the deal
The sponsors are the ones who turn the wheel
A segment line, “I’m out of time!’
