The Lyrics

I bought my first real four-string... those were the best years of my life...
I remember when I was a lass, I liked rock and I liked jazz
But there was a time which still kinda makes me a little proud -
Just as students all were we, doing labs and reading chemistry
We'd get together in cellar band and playing loud

Suzy played bass - Joan and Tina guitars
Helen played drums and we wanted be stars
Rocking helped relaxing the tired souls
Although those days are gone so long.
I'll rejoin them in this song.
I'm gonna join our rocking band at Am-I-Right.

No, our circle - won't be broken.
By and by, girls, by and by.
Suzy played bass - Joan and Tina guitars
Helen played drums and we wanted be stars
And our limit was the sky!

I remember afterwards, all those songs and all those words
You could hear us playing sharp and playing loud
Now we've graduated and have families
But I can still play my bass with ease
We'll play together one day and I sure know how!

I assume this is autobio- Fine pacing and I imagine the tale told here means more to you, and Joan, and Tina than the random reader...I see we both used JC songs, today

Yes, that is an autobio. There is a place for everything and it is college, and for me it was music, RPGs and eventually history re-enactment. Going to the basement and letting wind out by rocking was a good way on relaxing after a hard day at lab. I intentionally used the English forms of our names in that song, as most of the people of Am-I-Right are from English-speaking countries. I still do have that bass and amp, though.
