We'll dock the ship and I'll spend the night ashore
Then I'll have a couple days for Christmas shopping
While the steel mill crew is transferring the ore
By the time I reach the galley the deck is pitching
Cook says "Sorry, but your food will have to wait"
Captain has been calling for assistance
Way too late, too late
By the time you wake tomorrow we will be missing

Though the Coast Guard ships and planes keep on searching

Looks like Patrick beat me to it. Maybe he wouldn't have if I'd put 15 more songs behind me! Good job, and credit for finding away around having to take the 2 verses of "MacArthur Park" and stretch them to the 14 of "The Wreck."
My confirmation name (Catholic Church) is Michael. My Dad's middle name, also. His sisters called him "Mickey". I've been called worse, and certainly no insult to be identified with one of the best writers on the site.
