The Lyrics

In a world where too many people listen to whatever manufactured "music" gets churned out today, I won't stay away from classic rock. Interestingly, it's not all really old. I'm an '80s fan, and "Under the Bridge" is great. Of course, Green Day come out with instant classics. I know this parody isn't my funniest, but in my own mind, it's very true.
Classic haze, it's in my brain
Today's stuff just ain't the same
Try to sing Queen, but I don't know why
And "excuse me while I kiss this guy"*

The Police, saw with my own eyes
When they went back to doing concerts live
Some good stuff goes back way early
Why, even now Screamin' Jay puts a spell on me

GNR... The Crüe... oh, I don't know

Ooh, ahh (4x)

Journey fan, I still believe
Hoping it's fine for poor Steve
And Aerosmith stood the test of time
The Chili Peppers have rarely crossed the line

Beatles or Stones? Oh yeah
Come on now, get me, get me
Some Green Day right now
*I KNOW it's really "excuse me while I kiss the sky", but I had to put this famous misheard lyric in there.
