In the conventions of the 1980's, Walker's girlfriend, Alex, would usually stand in the corner and cower in fear while the men did all the fighting. In the real world, I'd expect a woman who became a district attorney would have a few combat skills herself.

555! For some reason this reminded me of the obscure "Space Rangers" TV show cancelled in 1993. Did you know that all the early sci-fi space rangers were known as Exonauts? Buzz Lightyear borrows from that stereotypical image!
