"Super Looping"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

You’re everywhere and nowhere baby,
That’s where you’re at,
Going down a narrow bus lane,
In your dripping hat.
Rushing through the back streets
And getting hot,
Saying everything is groovy,
When it’s clearly not.

And it’s
Hi-ho super looping,
Everywhere you go now baby,
The setting sun is slowly drooping,
But I won’t make a fuss, about an omnibus.

Pedestrians are jealous maybe
They’re waving at me,
Anything you want is costly,
So only muffins for tea,
Bus is going to get you somewhere,
Just wait and see,
So tap into that WiFi network,
Distracting you with trash TV.

And it’s
Hi-ho super looping,
Everywhere you go now baby,
Sipping from a mug with soup in,
But I won’t make a fuss, about an omnibus.

If you get a date in Sidcup
Or a gig in Chislehurst,
Have-a-go at super looping
And maybe you will get there first?
If you’re caught in school detention
Or you’re running late for tea,
Make a swift escape from Thamesmead,
Jump onto an Ess Ell Three. *

And it’s
Hi-ho super looping,
Everywhere you go now baby,
Cheer-up if your spirit’s droopin’,
But I won’t make a fuss, about an omnibus.

(untamed instrumental verse)

Hi-ho super looping,
Everywhere you go now baby,
The setting sun is slowly drooping,
But I won't make a fuss, about an omnibus.

Spoken: For your safety, please cross the cycle lane with caution.
See it. Say it. Sorted.
The "Superloop" brand relates to a collection of franchised limited-stop bus services, commissioned by Transport for London [TfL], most of which cover an arc of an orbit designed to connect popular suburban shopping districts, hospitals, business parks and railway stations. When introduced in 2024, passenger fares matched those charged on more established bus routes on which vehicles stop more frequently. The SL3 service calls at places mentioned in the song. The stops served were not upgraded or repositioned when these new routes were launched. The phrases spoken at the end of the lyrics are typical of pre-recorded TfL announcements currently audible on multiple London buses.
