As someone who grew up in the New York Tri-State Area, and has been watching both Trump and Giuliani since the Egregious Eighties, it doesn't surprise me a bit that they seem to be trying to make Tom Lehrer's song come true: "And we will all go together when we go." They might go, but America will survive.
As someone who grew up in Queens and experienced first hand the underhanded business dealings of Il Douche and the heavy-handed gestapo tactics of Gooliani it saddens me to have people think they represent what NY'ers are about. But this too will pass, and until then the sharp pens will remain out.
