Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

It's the little old lady on the John Deere tractor......
The little old lady on the John Deere tractor
(mow granny mow granny mow granny mow)
She's moving like a nuclear reactor
(mow granny mow granny mow granny mow)
She keeps the thing parked in a run-down barn
She really should be living out on the farm!

Well she walks real slow but she goes alot faster
When she's sittin on the seat of a John Deere tractor
She goes and she glows and she mows real hard
She's torn up all the climbing roses in her yard
She's the little old lady on a John Deere tractor

If you see her in her yard, do not wave at her
(mow granny mow granny mow granny mow)
She might think that you want to try to race her
(mow granny mow granny mow granny mow)
Well, she'll wind up in the ditch now sooner or later
Cause she loves to punch that accelerator

Now speed seems to be an age subtractor
For the little old lady on the John Deere tractor
She can't steer good cause she don't see much
If you stand too close she'll turn you into mulch
She's the little old lady on the John Deere tractor

Mow granny mow granny mow granny mow
Mow granny mow granny mow granny mow

She had the most beautiful lilacs in town
But she buzzed em, she shred em, she mowed em down

And there doesn't seem to be any fear factor
For the little old lady on the John Deere tractor
She mows and she blows and she goes real hard
She's leveling anything that's in the yard
She's the little old lady on the John Deere tractor....

Mow granny mow granny mow granny mow....(fade)

Looks like this one is heading for the top 10 and it well deserves it - good job. I liked the 'mow granny mow' line the best too.

It was fair. I wrote a song called John Deere was not a queer My Darlin' which put this little ditty to shame. It had an original melody to.

John C. Anderson--I'm glad that you're such an accomplished songwriter--I see they are submitting recordings to Amiright now; maybe you should submit yours.

This one was funny too! One slight problem though: in the last line of the second verse, there's one syllable too few. Other than that, nice job.

Good parody. Too bad Jan had to go so soon. He would have been 63 tomorrow. :(
