Parody Song Title:

"Resurrection 2024"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Should I stay or should I go? Bring in the "Easter Bunny" for guidance. Only "He" will know!
I am the President of the Country.
And I'm the "24 Election Nominee".
Searching for "Donor Confidence"
So, funding won't dry up on me.
I know I need a "Resurrection"
To rejuvenate my failing campaign.
But I can't stay awake past 4PM.
It's just so insane!
And the Leader of the Country
Needs to buy "Depends" again.

My cognitive abilities exposed for all to see.
That bungling debate performance is really crippling me.
I know I need a long vacation in my "Bunker",
Deep in the "Sacred Delaware Ground".
I'll follow my "2020 Election Plan"
"Hiding" for as long as I can.
And the Leader of the Country
Needs to "Change Depends" again.

So here I will defiantly "Stay".
I don't care what the critics say.
And the POTUS extends the "Middle Finger"
To all who get in his way.

I liked this one. Thank you. My two favorite lines in your parody are "I know I need a resurrection," and "It's just so insane!" They matched the meter of the OS perfectly. As nearly as I can figure, OS has two verses and a stub; the parody has what I think is three verses and a stub. The difference is not an issue. I add and subtract whole verses all the time. (See my parodies of "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," "Virgin Shall Conceive" and "The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald." Probably others. If I lined up the parody lines with those of OS properly, and perhaps I didn't, you left out the entire second half of verse 1. It's not clear you did it on purpose. I do have to note that this parody is rich in added syllables. My count of the first 4 lines is OS has 27 syllables against the parody's 34.
