Obviously written by a Liverpool fan starting to adjust to reality! Now do one for each of the other losing teams and I'll give you 5 million pounds, deal?
I did not know that Gerry and the Pacemakers did a version of TOS, which first appeared in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel".
I did know Gerry & the 'Makers did that. I mean, recorded the song. I also know that the Brooklyn Bridge (Johnny Maestro's post-Crests band) did it, Elvis used the song in his Vegas period, and Jerry Lewis closes his Labor Day telethon with it -- ironic, since one of the things muscular dystrophy and related conditions makes it hard, and sometimes impossible, to do is walk, but it shows the stricken that they're not alone. As for doing... that... alone, I guess the circle will be broken.
