Song Parodies -> "Dean"

Original Song Title:

"Jean"

Original Performer:

From Broadway show, "Oliver"

Parody Song Title:

"Dean"

Parody Written by:

Airfarcewon

The Lyrics

Dean, Dean, Martin, I mean
Nobody had his charm
Smooth and cool as a "Gin"
With a style that fit in
At Carnegie Hall, or a farm

Dean, Dean, so suave, debonair
And not just an acting scene
Remember the "Roast"
Those great shows he would host,
He made cynics toast, dashing Dean

In the first years with Jerry, straight man he'd be,
The real talent would blossom..when he played alone
Scored big hits with his singing'..encores kept calling

For Dean, Dean, friendly and warm
Cocktail in his hand, cigarette..
If there was a list
Of stars greatly missed,
At the top of the list..would be Dean

Dean, Dean, relaxed as a chair
He and Frank could light up a screen
Those ratpackin' years
Crooned ladies to tears,
Cool as he appears, that was Dean

Great tribute to Deano. This is one satire that's "amore"! This will thrive, five-a-five-a-fives!!

Well now, Pally...I'm goin over to da couch! Good job, AFW. Also, remember the white haired (blond?) piano player on the show? He was Kermit "Kenny" Lane, who wrote Everybody Loves Somebody. ;D

Nice tribute to a guy who had a lot of talent. What a crooner he was. Funny, every time I visit an Italian restaurant, he's always there singing "That's Amore'"
