I wrote this with our old parodist friend, Alvin Rhodes, in mind. We don't see his byline much, anymore..but he used to write quite a few Pinocchio themed parodies. so, this one's for you Alvin..
It's the wood life when you're carved
From an old piece of pine
Just a wood life, hard to smile,
Needing varnish to shine..
Facing dangers, from the birds
The kind with pecking jaws
Wood ticks and termites, lumberjacks
Wielding axe and saws..
It's the wood life, facing splinters,
and ants, bite inclined
I keep craving epidermis,
As humans are designed..
Tho' I love my Pa, Gepetto,
Like some Frankenstein I feel
Need a good life,
Not this wood life, unreal
It's a wood life, where the world's
Painted narrow and slim
Hate the wood life, 'cause my nose
Always grows like a limb
Maybe someday I'll be human
If the God of Good is found..
(and) grants me good life,
Turns my wood life..around

You're welcome... I have been getting writer's block really bad, and have been busy with real life, otherwise you'd see more parodies from me.
Thanks, OMR..never heard that joke, but could probably write it...and thanks, Mark, and Andria, again..hmm, my belief is that there is no such thing as writer's block...it's all just a figment of the author's imagination, which is also where his/or her talent lies..there's always words and lyrics hanging in the air..just pluck 'em out..now, being busy with other duties, hobbies, or pastimes is another story. Writing does take time and thought
