Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

What would Glenn Beck say to Byron Williams?
I know I'm always lying,
All the lies I tell you're buying
When you listen to me
And when I've got you in a trance
I know that there's a chance
You'll take me seriously

Then afterwards you drop into your car
And go hog wild
After a drink or two
And then you go and spoil it all
By doing something stupid
Like I said to

I can see that you are trying
To believe my phony crying
Is sincere--well, that's cool
'Cause though it's just a lie to me
To you it's really true--
That makes you quite the fool

I practice every day
To find some clever things to say
To make the lies all sound true
But then I have my doubts
I think if I was really smart
I'd wonder what you'll do

The time is right
It goes right to your head
Your face gets red
And you know what to do
'Cause then you go and spoil it all
By doing something stupid
Like I said to
I said to
I said to
I said to....

Nice job! I hadn't heard that Williams was Trilby to Glenngali.

LOL...Glenngali! Much of what Beck says is not so easily dismissed by me, BUT...that is neither here or there when I comment and score. Good parody and three (right-leaning) fives. ;D

Nicely paced. The rest were 1s, not because I disagree -- I agree with some of what Beck says, and disagree with others -- but because there wasn't a single fact or specific example of where he's wrong or you disagree. and frankly, this trend of substituting fact-free name-calling for actual political discourse should have stopped years ago -- or never started. Cheers.

Couldn't agree more. The integrity of political discourse can't get any lower, being it is at *zero* now.

Interesting comments, Tommy Turtle. But first of all, there aren't enough lines in the song to include facts and examples of Glenn Beck's untruths. And second, it was a spoof, not an example of political discourse. LOL!!!
