Original Song Title:

"The Summer Wind"

Original Performer:

Frank Sinatra

Parody Song Title:

"The Subaru"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The Subaru gleamed shiny new,
But it had a flat
With face flushed red,
The salesman said,
"Six thou for that"..

I stalled a while
Wiped off a smile
Then said. "I think I'll shop around"
I kicked the ground,
By the Subaru..

2004,
I found next door,
All the tires were aired
A sticker price,
Made sounds real nice
Five grand..it blared

Five hundred less
I offered, "Yes"
We shook and closed the deal
Ocean blue,
And smelled brand new,
That Subaru..

This used car game is a silly game
We've all played, it's true
But love this boat,
So, thought I'd gloat
Make that first guy stew..
Two bloodshot eyes
Survey my prize..
Then his words sabre me thru..
"That's my lot, too,
Nice Subaru.."

"That's my lot, too
Nice Subaru.."

I remember those days where the Subaru is a very nice car to drive...especially in the summer wind!! LOL!! My parents used to own a silver Subaru GL Station Wagon when I was a kid and that was my fave car. Great song! You've just been cruising around to 555 MPH!

I owned a Subaru and drove it on the left side of the road because driving on the right side of the road in Japan could get you killed. Here's a five speed transmission for this fun ride of a parody. Well done, Farce.

I've never owned a Subaru, but I've heard good things about them and I can't go anywhere without seeing one since they are so popular, particularly the smaller models when equipped with large wings and loud mufflers, the popular Outback series in all conditions, as well as tattered older ones made into off-road vehicles. For this great parody, I will give you a coupon for $555 off any new Subaru at the dealer of your choice. BTW, about Andy's comment, you CAN buy a Subaru for about $555, but it will probably have a lot of things wrong with it and/or be very old.
