Parody Song Title:

"It Was A Worn Out Goodyear"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Front tire on my car,
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear
Rolled long hard miles
Then blew on a curve
Made my Yugo swerve
Just pushed it too far
Front tire on my car..

Rear tire on my car,
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear
Same long hard miles
It went flat, kerplop!
And made my Yugo stop
Coming from a bar
Rear tire on my car..

Spare tire in my trunk
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear
As smooth as my ass..
When I wear tight Lee jeans
Not worth a can a' beans
Just steel belted junk
Spare tire in my trunk..

But, I've got Auto Club
Won't need those lousy Goodyears
I'll just call on my cell phone
And drink some wine..
From fine old kegs
Save my arms and my legs
Ain't too bad waiting here
It Was A Worn Out Goodyear

Tomorrow..I'll buy new Goodyears

LOL from the concept alone... and yeah, "Yugo swerve"... Your stuff has always been excellent, but since I came back after MIA, you seem to have vaulted to new levels of wordplay, etc. Been eating your parody Wheaties, or sumpin'?

I figured it must be something like that but it sounded vaguely familiar and I was falling flat (no pun intended... ehh... who am I kidding, pun surely intended) as to place it yesterday, though I can now today, I was thinking of the word kerplunk, introduced to me by the band Green Day.

One that we all wish we'd thought of but didn't. Great title. "Yogo sweve" made me LOL.

I am the proud second owner of a 1988 Yugo GV hatchback with no options from the factory, however, I put custom wheels and a Kraco stereo in it. It is not actually a bad car for what I use it for, it gets great mileage, it is fun to drive, I have had very little trouble with it and many of the parts interchange with the Fiat 128 and X1/9.

My Yugo is no more. I traded it for a trashed-out 1979 Chevy station wagon and I bought my dad's 1974 Mazda Rotary Engine pickup. After 6 years of draftiness (I live in South Dakota), CO-laced exhaust fumes entering the cabin, having the bumpers stolen and parts falling off, I cried uncle. (UNCLE!!!)
