The Lyrics

Ok, so the song may be a little off, but I just wanna stay with my friends here at the university, so I wrote a song about it.
Now, listen to my story about a school named South,
Studied so hard, that the medics thought I was dead.
Then one day, my teachers called me "Fool!"
And down went my grades, so I went to tha Swimming pool.
Water that is, blue gold, Gulf Shores, Alabama tea.

Well, the next thing you know, I wanted to be in a school where you'd have to be a millionaire,
My best friends said, "Jed, you're not a millionaire."
But then I said, "South Alabama is still the place I wanna be."
It's cheaper here and I couldn't be more happily.

Anywhere else. Still a fool, not a superstar.
