Original Performer:

Elvis Presley

Parody Song Title:

"Religious Guys"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

9/11/2001
They started this crap,
They're so devout.
They have no love much for the Rabbi.
Learn history,
Stop all this misery,
Is that Mujahideen you say?
They have such rotten weather,
It must fry their minds,
They're filled with evil schemes,
Kick their bad behinds.

These guys have got to go,
Cow-ard-ly and yellow,
Is there too much "religion" in these guys?
These are evil men,
Guys like Bin Laden,
You can't with these guys go deal,
No trying.
It must be that hot weather,
On religious minds,
And they will use all means,
To destroy our kind.

Just can't let them survive,
They live on fears from their lies.
They get their converts to die,
It's money you know,
They'll never die for you,
Mmm yeah, yeah.

Well done, Guy!

Someone is obviously screwing around with the voting here. The odds of having the vote tallies read on this song as they do are nearly impossible.

Wow! Guy, what happened here??? I was busy yesterday and didn't get much chance to look at the entries. I saw your note about the voting this morning and came over to look. I just gave you "5-4-5" here. I also noticed your note this morning is in the "Latest Comments" thread but does not have indicate which song the comment goes to or have the song's link there either. Looks like you ought to ask ChuckyG to look into this, maybe it's some sort of glitch(?)...

Paul - I'm talking about the vote tallies for this song. It had 4 striaght one's, 4 straight 2's, 4 straight 3's, 4 straight 4's and 4 straight 5's before you added your vote to it. No way this was from 20 different people. Why do we even have voting anyway? BTW - Thanks for your comment.

Guy, yeah, I noticed that pattern, too. Pretty strange...well, either someone IS somehow playing games with the votes OR there is a glitch somewhere that is causing this. Did you post a note for ChuckyG over in the "Systems" area of the Messageboard? I think that is where you would make an inquiry about something like this.

Guy: See http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php/topic,3306.0.html , it might have something to do with it.
BTW: How did you manage to post a comment on the latest comments thread with having it attached to a specifik parody? Or might that be a glitch too?
Guy - September 12, 2004 - Report this comment
K1chyd - I just now saw that. Must be a glitch. Only part of my comment posted on the song and that was the very first part of it. I was unaware that I managed to post a detached comment. Now I know where that went. There is a middle part still missing. \O/

Seems to be a glitch in my comment too, "whithout" has been shortened to just "with" :-)
Michael Pacholek - September 12, 2004 - Report this comment
Don't blame me for the glitch, I'm the 25th voter, and I gave you straight 4s.

Looks like you've been hit by the Singular Cretin or "Uno-Bomber" who bombs political songs with 1-1-1's and clumsily tries to cover his tracks by voting a few 2-2-2, 3-3-3, 4-4-4. Chuck is on to him. Note that your vote totals have returned to normal.
ChuckyG - September 16, 2004 - Report this comment
the vote totals look fine, maybe this was one I had to fix... I had a dozen or so, I thought they were all Will's, but I guess a few were other people's. I've got some new tricks up my sleeves for the one bombers, a couple have been implemented, a few more will come along if they figure them out. (No need to tip my hand all at once)

Thanks, Chuck. Now if you'd just tell us who these jerks are we can surely make them null and void on the board as they try to make our songs.
