The Lyrics

The comedy of Al Yank'vich was a bright light which slay- ... Wait a minute, those are the lyrics :-D ... I was looking in the archives and found this song has only been done once before, by Porfle Popnecker, a very funny fellow who is sorely missed. I had another parody of this song in mind for next month when suddenly "Al Yank'vich" popped in my head. And I thought "what better way to tribute Weird Al than to parody a goofy song that includes the lyric, "Hail, Atlantis."
The comedy of Al Yank'vich was a bright light which slayed, before the World Web
In an arena we now call the MTV Channel

So great his ability to goof that from his jesting vids, those beautiful stanzas parodied
The Kings and Queens of pop music with ease
In his vids with pointed japes

With great ease, Amish men were belabored ... the song a mock rap of "Par'dise"
The Great John Barry's page is but a sliver of the Yankovian output

The anti-Jacksonian tweeks titter-ized the world. All the cards who penned all the
parody-lical stanzas in all websites with all subs ...... Bow to great Al Yank'vich

Throwing his weight, Al Yank'vich sent out wits to all corners of the web. On board were the Twelve
The Porfle, The Mal Higgins, The Turtle, The Enthusiast*, The Left-tician
And all the other so-called cards of our jesting

Though cards they were, and as the guest-trolls of our site choose to remain vile
Let us sub and pun and our site renew

Hail, Al Yank'vich!!

Weird Al, the all time showman; there on MTV, he may be
Weird Al, the all time showman; flair for comedy, we did see
Weird Al, the all time showman; king of comedy, he may be
Weird Al, the all time showman; there on MTV, he may be
Weird Al, the all time showman; who I wanna be, we shall see

My anti-Jacksonian buddy, yeah, ,yeah, yeah, yeah
I wanna "Eat It" some day
My anti-Madonnian buddy, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I wanna be you some day .......
*Now, who could that be? But seriously, folks, the names enumerated are not necessarily the parodists that I consider the five best of all time. For instance, I think Alvin Rhodes is probably the funniest of all time. But they're the names that best fit the OS. Seriously, is there a better sub for Poet than Porfle?
