Parody Song Title:

"Hitler's Doubles"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

It is believed that Hitler had up to 4 body doubles (Doppelgangers) during WW2, but only 2 are firmly known: Heinrich Berger and Gustav Weler. Both were killed. One at the Wolf's Lair and the other at the bunker. Another unknown was killed above the bunker in the Reichschancellory building as well...
Hitler's doubles, his decoy line
Three were killed, one left alive
Hitler's doubles were not soldiers
But played their parts until it was their time

For the role, they were groomed
Under risk, emergencies
But also basked in Führer glory

Hitler's doubles enjoyed wine,
Made the tours, lived just fine
Hitler's doubles in the end died
One at the Wolf's Lair, the bomb of July*

Hitler's doubles enjoyed the time
On roasted pheasant they did dine
Hitler's doubles in the end died
Two at the bunker, one unidentified

Do the math ... maybe ONE survived?
* Operation Valkyrie July 20, 1944 bomb plot
