The Lyrics

Has anybody here seen my old friend Thurston
Can you tell me where Jim's gone
He had a lot of money, and it seems he had some fun
I just looked around, and he's gone

Anybody here seen my old friend Lovee
Can you tell me where Nat's gone
She really loved Thurston, and it seems she had some fun
I just looked around, and she's gone

Anybody here seen my old friend Skipper
Can you tell me where Al's gone
He always lost his temper, but it seems he had some fun
I just looked around, and he's gone

Didn't you love the laughs that they gave us
Didn't they try to find some cheer for you and me
On our tv's
Days long gone, but they were some mighty fine days

Anybody here seen my old friend Gilligan
Tell me what's become of him
I thought I saw Bob walking out over by the lagoon
With Natalie, Alan, and Jim

Sad to think there are so few of the cast left alive. Your song is a bittersweet reminder of that. Peace.

One of my favorite moments in Gilligan's Island was when Thurston Howell III was hanging dollar bills on a clothesline. The dialog: "What are you doing, Mr. Howell?" "I'm laundering money!" RIP, Gilligan...and all the rest.

Well said! To this day, whenever someone asks me to do something, I always put on a Jim Bacjus voice, and say "Ewwww! Manual labor, how vile!". The last of these great old entertainers are slipping away, and "greats" of today can't hold a candle to them. The memories these guys gave us have lasted a lifetime.
